Watches for ELA International

Independent watchmaking has long found ways to put its craftsmanship at the service of a greater cause, but few gestures carry as direct a meaning as this one. Gerald Charles is proud to announce that it now joins Watches for ELA International, the charity auction organized in partnership with Christie’s, set to take place on November 9, 2026, in Geneva. Year after year, the event turns a shared passion for fine watchmaking into a tangible force for good, giving collectors the chance to bid on exceptional timepieces while knowing that proceeds will support ELA International’s programs for children and families affected by leukodystrophies.
For this cause, Gerald Charles has chosen to donate a piece that speaks directly to its design identity: the Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin “Tiger’s Eye.“ The watch’s dial is crafted from tiger’s eye, a rare fibrous quartz prized for its golden shimmer and shifting chatoyancy; the stone’s natural fragility demands slow, precise cutting by a select few lapidary artisans, and only the most visually balanced, structurally sound dials pass the Maison’s selection process.
The case is the brand’s signature Maestro, prized for its fluid, sculptural lines. For this timepiece, a Colormix finish has been used: a metallic bronze-brown achieved through a proprietary treatment that adds warmth and scratch resistance to the steel, echoed on the buckle and in the sand-toned vulcanized rubber strap’s matte, textured finish.
Powering it all is the Swiss-made caliber 2.0 (Ref. GCA2000), a 3.7 mm automatic movement with 189 components and 28 rubies, finished with colimaçon, Côtes de Genève, and perlage decoration.
Anticipation for the auction begins with GWA Days, when all of the featured watches will be exhibited at Christie’s in Geneva from September 2 to 4, giving collectors and the public an early look ahead of the November sale. The preview will include dedicated on-site activations celebrating the story and craftsmanship behind each piece.
